The church is located in one of the most beautiful angles of Rome, at the feet of the Gianicolo hill, and offers an amazing view of the city. It lies exactly in the place where, as the legend says, Pietro was crucifix and put where now we can see the Temple of Bramante. San Pietro in Montorio has many art treasures and was founded in the Middle Ages for the Celestini Monks of the order of Celestino V.
The inside is consituted by a unique nave with three bays, with the central cover made by Francesco Fontana, with 5 lateral chapels both at the right and at the left.
Very requested for the celebration of marriages in Rome, it is adjacent to the Paola fountain and at the S. Pancrazio arch, it can host 150 people, and there is a large parking area in front of the church.
